A grandmother decided one Christmas that she would escape the hustle and bustle of shopping by giving money to her family. After purchasing the appropriate card for each family member, she wrote out checks to place in inside the cards. She then wrote a personal note to each family member and closed each card with this "This year buy your own gift."
Not wanting to miss the outgoing mail, she hurriedly addressed the envelopes and inserted the cards. Then it was off the post office where she deposited the cards in the outside drop box. When she got home, she smiled to herself thinking Christmas gifting was behind her. When she sat down at the kitchen table, to her horror, she discovered the checks that she had forgotten to place inside the Christmas cards!
We have all made mistakes. Some are rather humorous; others very serious. We have all heard about surgeons who have removed the wrong organ. Or someone driving the wrong way on a highway that resulted in a fatality. But there is One who has never made (and never will make) a mistake. Moses wrote in Genesis 18:25 "...will not the Judge of all the earth do right?”
God will never make a mistake in your life nor the life of a nation. God cannot lie, be bribed, or be dishonest. Rest today in the fact that God has things in control and will not make a mistake.
