There is a story told of a Senator that was asked to speak at a prayer breakfast in the nation's capital. He began his remarks with a question, "How many of you would raise your hand saying that you would like to see prayer back in school?" Hundreds raised their hands.
The Senator continued, "How many of you prayed with your wife this morning?" Only six men raised their hands. Prayer in school is good but we can only change our nation by changing our families and that will only happen through families praying together.
It is a fact that the majority of Christian men don't have a consistent prayer time with their wives. I don't want to add any more guilt on anyone but I want to encourage husbands to commit themselves to praying every day with their wife.
Maybe an accountability partner would be helpful. Find a trusted friend that will check on your progress from time to time. Don't put it off;start today.
