Stand Strong

I am always amazed how God brings "unrelated" things together. I have been helping in our church's VBS this week and our theme is Standing Strong. We are trying to instill in our children that you do not have to go along with the crowd but God will help you do right when everyone else is doing wrong.

This week I came across an old photo that I had seen before but had forgotten. It is a picture of a man (unknown to us but known to God) who refused to give his allegiance to Adolf Hitler and the Nazis party. I do not know if he paid a price for standing strong but I salute his courage. I admire people who stand for their convictions for doing what is right. Think of the great heroes of the faith who "stood strong." i.e. Joseph, Daniel, the three Hebrew children, Moses, Wilberforce, and of course Jesus Christ.

I would encourage you to stand strong in the face of political correctness and peer pressure.

"Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know  that your labor in the Lord is not in vain."
                                                                                                                         1 Corinthians 15:58.
