When I am considering purchasing an item, I often go online to read all the customer reviews. I know that some people are natural complainers and they find fault in about everything but if you read enough reviews, you generally know if it is a good product. One of the key things I look for is if they would recommend it to a friend.
I wander if we realize that people are looking at our lives and making a decision if you are the "real deal" or not. As a Christ-follower, I should live in such a way that others would read my "review" and want it for themselves. Are we living in such a way that we could "recommend" our lifestyle and our relationship with Jesus to our friends?
1 Corinthians 11:1 You must follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.
2 Cor. 3:2 The only letter of recommendation we need is you yourselves. Your lives are a letter written in our hearts; everyone can read it and recognize our good work among you. (NLT)
