Blessed Are the Patient

Blessed Are the Patient

I must confess I have a problem with patience. I will change lines at the checkout [sometimes several times] just to get through faster. Why do I always catch the red light? Why does it take so long for my computer to download programs?

Let’s face it; life is often about waiting. I am amazed at the number of times ‘waiting’ is mentioned in the Bible. “Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.” Ps.27:14 “Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD...” 1 Thess. 1:10Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him…” Ps. 37:7 to name just a few.

So, how should we deal with impatience?
1] Realize that God is in total control in our lives. There is no such thing as luck or coincidence in the life a Christ follower. Ps. 37.23

2] That being so, look for what God may want you to learn or maybe an opportunity to minister. Ps. 25.5
3] Ask God for grace. Isaiah40.31
