There is no question that times are changing. Not all change is bad. We no longer have " a path out back" but we have indoor plumbing. Communications has changed dramatically; we no longer share a telephone line with our neighbors. Now we have "smart phones", which I am not smart enough to know how to use.
But there is a change that I am very, very concerned about. There was a time when Christ followers stood for truth and for Biblical principles, But today we are more concerned about offending people then being obedient to God and His Word. Preachers no longer proclaim the truth with boldness! People come and go from our church services unchanged and unconverted because the church is afraid to confront people concerning their sin.
I am not calling for Christians to be unkind or self righteous. But we can no longer justify sin in the church and in our own lives. Isaiah 5:20 God has called his people to live holy in this present age. Ephesians 1:4 Unfortunately, it is hard to see the difference between Christ followers and unbelievers.
It is time for the church to rise up and stand for what it believes. 1 Cor. 16:13 If you do not stand for something, you will fall for anything.
