Transparency

Genesis 2:24 says,"Adam and his wife were both naked, and they felt no shame."  As a young child I remember reading that and chuckling. Just the word 'naked' will get must children to laugh but in the beginning, being naked was not an issue.

I do not want to read more into this passage than is really there but I thought of a truth that I had never considered before. Adam and Eve had nothing to hide from each other [literally and relationally]. Which I believe was God intent for mankind.

People are no longer transparent with each other. We hide behind 'masks' while secretly struggling with sin, anger, and a host of other problems. We do not want people to know that we "don't have it all together." Husbands and wives do not share what is going on in their lives even though each knows something is wrong but they are afraid to open up.

The Bible calls us "children of light." So why are we keeping others in the dark about the things we should share . We cannot help you if we do not know you have a problem. Phil. 4:4  Galatians 6:2
